LumoLift: Wearable Technology to help us with Better Posture

Wearable Technology to help us with Better Posture

The Lumolift not only reminds the user to get more exercise but it also reminds the user to practice better posture when they begin to slouch. It uses a smart sensor technology that gently reminds you by vibrating when your core body positioning is not ideal. The LumoLift is small and stylish, and is designed to be placed unobtrusively on or under your clothes. But since it is stylish enough it won’t be an eyesore when you wear it.

Lumolift_Colorslumo-liftThe LumoLift works by communicating with an app that keeps track of your upper body position. It knows when you’re slouching and when you’re standing tall, and can be set to vibrate as a reminder to help you with a better posture. In addition to the better posture feature, it also tracks your steps as well as keeps a history of your activity. When you have a lack of activity it will remind you to get exercise, but don’t worry, these are settings you can modify. The device currently is compatible for the Apple iOS 6.0 devices and above: Apple iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, iPad (3rd and 4th gen), iPad Air, iPad Mini with Retina Display, iPad Mini, and iPod touch (5th gen). The LumoLift will be available this Summer 2014.
